Hi. My name is Keyta Skelton and have been teaching for 4 and a half years. I teach first grade and I love it! Most days I am powered by only coffee and passion for the job. I decided to start this blog because I've noticed that there are thousands of teacher blogs out these days, however many of them are classroom specific. While I have found wonderful ideas and curriculum enrichment for my own classroom, I would like to see more ideas for other areas of a teacher's life. For example, where can I find comfortable, affordable, professional attire for work? Should I go for my masters degree or NBPT Certification first? or What are some quick and tasty dinner and lunch recipes in can make during the school week? Keeping this in mind, I decide to start a blog for teachers that would focus on more than the classroom. After all, we are more than just teachers.
As I slowly start this life-style blog for teachers, please keep in mind that I am full-time teacher, mother, and Air Force wife. Time is non-renewable resource for me. So please be patient with me as I become familiar with blogging and maintain a blog. My goal initial goal is at least two posts a month until the school year is out.
I am very excited about this new adventure for me and hope that you enjoy what I have to share.
